The dermatologist’s specialist performs a dermatological examination which includes examination of the skin and mucous membranes of the entire body, nail and hair. The review takes about 20-30 minutes and includes:
• Anamneses – talk with the patient about current problems, previous skin and other diseases of importance, allergies, medications taken by the patient, family diseases …
• Insight into the previous medical documentation (if any).
• Dermatological examination – which can include bare eye observation, eye magnification with magnifying glass, light bulb, regular dermatoscope, dermatoscope with measurements and light, as well as camera with dermatoscope.
• Advice and recommendation for further treatment (if needed).
The examination is completely painless and does not require a special preparation of the patient.
